Lafond is a traditional post presence who can score in multiple ways and punish defenses both with her back to the basket and when facing up from the midrange area. She consistently draws double teams, creates advantages for her team, and is a strong passer who makes the right unselfish reads by finding open teammates. Beyond her skill set, Emilie is also a great teammate and an invaluable leader on and off the court. Her production at Laurentian has continued to grow each season, highlighted by a 2025-26 campaign of 15.6 points, 7.5 rebounds, 2.0 assists, and 1.5 blocks per game.
