Zay is an elite athlete with a long, lanky frame who runs the floor hard and thrives in transition. She has outstanding hands, making her a reliable rim runner who can catch and finish tough passes with ease. Offensively, she’s a 3 level scorer—capable of knocking down the 3, consistent in the midrange, and highly effective in the paint where she can score in a variety of ways.  She is capable of creating her own shots and finishes well through contact. She plays with relentless energy and effort on both ends of the floor. Defensively, her versatility stands out—she’s strong enough to battle bigger bodies inside while also having the quickness and agility to guard perimeter players and apply pressure full court. Her ability to impact the game in so many areas creates constant matchup problems for opponents.
