Dr. Dimitrios Argyrakis is an experienced orthopedic surgeon specializing in shoulder and knee conditions, sports injuries, and arthroscopic surgery. After 15 years of training and clinical practice at Akademiska University Hospital in Uppsala, Sweden, he served as Director of the Department of Sports Injuries and Shoulder–Knee Surgery before returning to Greece in 2023. He graduated from the University of Ioannina Medical School and completed his specialty training in Sweden, becoming a certified Orthopedic Surgeon and Traumatologist. Dr. Argyrakis has also trained with world-leading experts such as Dr. David Dejour in France and Dr. Andy Williams in the UK.
In addition to his surgical work, he holds a postgraduate degree in Sports Medicine from the International Olympic Committee and is a PhD candidate at Uppsala University. His research and clinical work have been presented at major international conferences and published in respected medical journals. Today, Dr. Argyrakis collaborates exclusively with the Agios Loukas Clinic in Thessaloniki and welcomes patients at his private practice, ARTHROMOVE, in Pylaia. He provides personalized care for shoulder, knee, and sports-related problems, using modern techniques tailored to each patient’s needs and lifestyle.
